VRstudios to unleash The Fury
Innovative, unattended, 2-player attraction to debut at IAAPA Expo
VRstudios, a leading creator of free-roam turn-key multiplayer Virtual Reality (VR) attractions for Location-Based Entertainment (LBE), is excited to debut, in partnership with VRsenal, the FURY – an innovative, unattended, 2-player attraction designed to deliver high throughput and physically active VR experiences in a small footprint.
The FURY is bundled with its debut title, “Hoops Madness”, a competitive, two-player VR basketball game designed specifically for the LBE environment. “Hoops Madness” utilizes real- world physics to deliver an exciting and broadly appealing VR basketball experience with authentic shooting and ball-handling mechanics. Perfect as a stand-alone attraction or for competitive Esports, “Hoops Madness” challenges players to go head-to-head with friends to dominate the leaderboard.
“The FURY is designed to transform any FEC into a VR Esports destination encouraging casual players, sports fans, spectators, and VR enthusiasts to get in the game,” noted Kevin Vitale, CEO and Chairman of VRstudios. “With amazing VR basketball gameplay, content that appeals to a wide audience, and a robust Real-Sport EsportsTM content pipeline, all in an unattended, small- footprint package, the FURY is poised to dramatically increase guest and player engagement and retention while offering bankable new revenue streams to any LBE operator.”
“As the VRstudios team advanced the FURY’s development, we decided it would be even more compelling to combine our industry-leading attraction software with a best-in-class unattended VR hardware platform,” continued Vitale. “I’m pleased to announce that we have partnered with VRsenal to launch the FURY utilizing VRsenal’s groundbreaking, fully automated, two-player VR platform. This novel combination makes the FURY a powerful new attraction for LBE operators.”
VRsenal specialises in building unattended, VR arcade cabinets with rock-solid uptime and reliability, as proven across almost five hundred successful LBE deployments of “Beat Saber” and “Vader Immortal – Lightsaber Dojo: A Star Wars VR Experience”.
With an overall footprint of only 35 square feet, the FURY offers an unprecedented footprint-to- player ratio for an unattended VR attraction (17.5 sq ft per player). The FURY also features custom fully armored HTC Vive Pro headsets, high-performance VR processing, and two large eye- catching digital displays for a premium spectator experience that’s sure to draw a crowd.
The FURY will launch with “Hoops Madness” as its initial game title – the first in a coming line of VRstudios Real-Sport EsportsTM games designed for high re-playability and player retention. VRstudios provides operators with tools for building localised, branded promotions and events, including the Real-Sport EsportsTM Playbook – a how-to guide for developing an Esports program with new revenue streams including VR Esports competitions, tournaments, and events. The Playbook consists of use case examples, best practices, and a tiered approach to help operators quickly activate and realise the value of Real-Sport EsportsTM.
VRstudios is excited to demonstrate the FURY in a new partner booth and at VIP events at key retail settings at the upcoming IAAPA Expo Trade Show from November 16-19 in Orlando.
