Videotel Digital’s Touchless WAVE works with interactive players

Videotel Digital, a manufacturer of digital signage media players, touchless interactive solutions and directional sound speakers, has enhanced its Touchless WAVE solution to integrate with both its VP71XD and VP90 4K HD interactive media players as well as with most digital signage media players.

WAVE, a proximity sensor that requires no direct line of sight, was originally designed to touchlessly trigger a video/image content change with a looped message meant to address an active viewer when approaching the screen. Now, when incorporated with Videotel Digital’s interactive media players, WAVE can also allow an active viewer to interact with a kiosk or touchscreen without fear of contamination.

“Museums, aquariums and other entertainment venues, which curate their guest experiences, can now implement innovative interactive and engaging environments while keeping them contactless. This eliminates the need to constantly disinfect areas where guests are normally touching displays to activate screen content,” said Lisa Schneider, Videotel Digital’s EVP of marketing and sales. She added, “WAVE is really ideal for all types of interactive displays and kiosks where you want to provide a unique and safe touchless or contactless alternative.”
