With the outlook for the UK amusement and coin-op industries at its most positive for several years, the industry is set to benefit from the launch of a new coin-op show, taking place in London at the end of the summer season. The first edition of the Autumn Coin-Op show is scheduled for 15th and 16th October at Chelsea Football Club.

Organiser Karen Cooke explains the thinking behind the new show: “In recent years we’ve received numerous requests from UK companies for an event at which they can gain feedback on new products prior to their launch during the January show season. We believe the time is now right, evidenced by overwhelming support and firm commitments from companies eager to secure space at the two day event. The show will concentrate on the requirements of the UK and will take place at a unique venue and at a traditional time in the coin-op calendar, after the summer season and prior to EAG International,” explained Karen.

Harry Levy of Harry Levy Amusements welcomed the new initiative: “As a manufacturer the Autumn Coin-Op Show will provide us with a great opportunity to gain essential feedback from our customers, prior to product launches in the New Year. Our industry is a sociable one and over the years we’ve lost some of the traditional opportunities to get together at the end of the season. We’re very happy to confirm that we’ll be exhibiting at this new show,” revealed Harry.

Reflex Gaming’s Quentin Stott confirmed his company’s participation, saying, “Reflex Gaming is highly focused on the UK market and we’re excited to be taking part in the Autumn Amusement Show and enjoying the social and business opportunities it will inevitably bring. The industry finally has a sensibly priced two day show at a prestigious central London location and we hope manufacturers and visitors alike will get behind the event to ensure its success.”

Managing Director Dean Harding has confirmed that Crown Direct will also be taking part, and the show’s organisers have also received bookings from several other leading coin-op companies.

Karen Cooke is keen to ensure that the new event reflects the needs of its participants: “Over the coming months we’ll be developing the programme for the two days. We’re anticipating a friendly, intimate event and those companies considering exhibiting should contact me as soon as possible to avoid disappointment,” urged Karen.

With substantial industry input, perfect timing and an iconic London venue with its own on-site hotel, The Autumn Coin-Op Show is set to add real value and to become an important fixture in the amusement and coin-op industry calendar.
