Themed entertainment destinations plan reopening strategies with Crowd Solo

Crowd Solo, the free social distancing app from Holovis, is being utilised by entertainment destinations across five continents to help them plan their reopening strategies, aid guests and staff in staying alert and assist in making the environment and attractions Covid secure.

The mobile app is being made available free of charge from Holovis from June as part of its commitment to help the industry get back on its feet as quickly and as safely as possible. The app features an attraction reservation and queue-management system with real-time proximity alerts, providing operators with instant insight into guest movements to avoid crowd hotspots.

Leisure and entertainment destinations of all genres have been in touch about the app to help their facilities reopen and aid with following social distancing protocols, from theme parks including Hunderfossen Family Park in Norway and Dinoland in The Netherlands, to indoor leisure activities including the Midlands Roller Arena in the UK.

Commenting on their reopening strategy, Hogne Høstmælingen, CEO of Hunderfossen Family Park, which plans to reopen on 6 June explains: “We were searching for digital queuing systems and had looked at a range of solutions. Holovis is well known in our business and the Crowd Solo solution seems to be the best for us. The ability to let our guests book their time on our most popular rides without having to stand in physical queues is an important aspect that is helping with our social distancing approach. We look forward to getting started with this system.”
