During a recent awards ceremony (held on 10th November as part of the “Export Days 2014” event at the Palais Kaufmännischer Verein in Linz), TAB Austria received the prestigious “Hidden Champions” export award. Awards are given to companies in the world’s top 5, or Europe’s top 3, in their markets. TAB’s CEO Siegfried Dattl Jr received the award, commenting “We are delighted with this award, which we consider a visible symbol of our years of commitment”.
The award is given to those companies demonstrating outstanding contributions to the Austrian export industry, those who are a role model for others, and those demonstrating a successful export track record and the ability to establish themselves in new markets. Economic strength is one measure factored into the awards, as well as the sustainability and viability of the enterprise. The awards were given by the WKO (Austria’s Federal Economic Chamber).
Sustained global commitment
TAB Austria was selected primarily because of its outstanding intercontinental performance, and its position as one of the innovative leaders in the manufacturing of betting terminals, gaming terminals, out-of-home entertainment products, and digital jukeboxes. “We recognized the opportunities of the growing markets early. We have been investing in the global market since 1962 – long before it became increasingly important to do so”, concluded Dattl.
