Snow place like Dreamworld!

Frost and snow has arrived in Dreamworld, hearkening to the inaugural Winterfest celebrations set to run until 21st July.

The tobogganing slope has sled into Main Street and the Dreamworld Exhibition Centre has been transformed into an ice-skating wonderland as the theme park gets ready to ring in “snow-season”. Ice skating sessions will be held hourly and guests can book online or at Dreamworld front entry, however tickets are limited to a set number per session, so guests are urged to get in early.

Brand new live shows will be performed across the winter holiday period and a rare touch of snow will be found around the park, with snow machines, winter-themed 3D chalk art and a snow globe for a unique twist on the iconic Dreamworld Globe photo as guests enter Main Street.

The winter-inspired event will also include European-styled food and drink offerings, including Europe’s traditional winter drink, Glühwein or Mulled wine.

“The Dreamworld team has put a lot of work into delivering another exciting, unique experience suited to the whole family and with the first day of Winterfest starting tomorrow, it’s so exciting to see the final touches being put in place,” said Dreamworld entertainer Crystal Taylor.

“Everyone needs to experience a white winter at least once in their lives and there’s no better way to embrace the cooler temperatures on the Gold Coast than with some of the most exhilarating and memorable winter activities.”

The winter festivities will continue after the sun goes down with the snowflakes falling on Park After Dark for one-night only on Saturday 6th July, 2019.

“We experienced a very successful Park After Dark: Neon Nights event in April, so we wanted to provide guests another opportunity to experience Dreamworld after hours but with a different spin with Winterfest Nights,” Crystal said.
