SEGA

SEGA has announced that Amusements General Manger, Peter Gustafson has been appointed the AAMA’s Executive Vice President taking over the leadership of the association from John Schulz who is retiring at the end of May.

“I’m extremely proud, humbled, and excited by being chosen to lead this dynamic organization,” said Peter Gustafson.  “I’m passionate about the industry and have always enjoyed my engagement with the association. I am committed to building on the foundation John, Tina and Ashley have established.”

Peter “Pete” Gustafson is currently in his 36th year in the industry and for many of those years, he’s been active with AAMA and started serving on AAMA committees in the 90s.  He was elected to the AAMA’s Board of Directors in 2001 and has been a BOD member ever since.  Peter was then nominated to a two year term as President of the Association in 2013.

Pete’s appointment to Executive Vice President ends lengthy and methodical search to find current AAMA EVP John Schultz’s replacement.  An executive search committee was established comprised of leaders from the AAMA Board of Directors.  This group created a set of criteria and characteristics they were looking for in the ideal candidate. After a thorough review, the search committee concluded Pete was the person that best fit these criteria.

Sega CEO, Paul Williams. “I know as head of AAMA, he’ll be a benefit to the entire industry.  On behalf of the entire Sega family I want to thank him for his many years of service at Sega and wish him well in his new role with AAMA.”
