ROARR! Dinosaur Adventure announces new investment for 2022

ROARR! Dinosaur Adventure in Norfolk will be launching the Valley of the Dinosaurs, featuring 11 new animatronic dinosaurs that will bring the creatures to life – opening in spring 2022.

Nine new static dinosaurs will also be added to the existing 54 in ROARR!’s current trail – taking the total number of dinosaurs at the park to over 150.

The new attraction is part of a £300,000 investment by ROARR! to provide its guests with an immersive and engaging experience.

Valley of the Dinosaurs visitors will be greeted by a statue of the park’s legendary Norfolk-born explorer Cornelius Weston Smythe, the sanctuary owner for rescued dinosaurs in a new themed area. The character will encourage young guests to find the missing pages in his notebook as they travel through the valley.

Featuring voiceovers from Cornelius, in addition to a host of new dinosaur sounds, the interactive experience will also provide dino fans with exciting new photo-taking opportunities and more.

Adam Goymour, park director at ROARR! Dinosaur Adventure said: “Our most recent and significant investment was Dippy’s Theatre at £300,000 which opened in spring 2021 to rave reviews, providing two new experiences and three different activities and we’re looking forward to investing and expanding our dinosaur repertoire even further with the Valley of the Dinosaurs.

“We want our dinosaur fans to have even more to experience and enjoy next year whilst giving our new visitors a remarkable day out, so they want to come back time and time again.”

ROARR! has enlisted the services of Katapult, specialists in the industry that create and design themed attractions and experiences, to provide consultation for this new offering at the dinosaur adventure park, including concept design.

Phil Higgins, Chief Creative Officer at Katapult added: “It’s testament to ROARR! that it is continuously looking at ways to elevate the guest experience at the park.

“It’s been fantastic working with ROARR! and sharing with them our expertise in creative strategy, insights and design, and we’re very much looking forward to the next stage of this ambitious project.”

Alongside this investment, ROARR! Dinosaur Adventure is planning to submit further expansion proposals to its local planning authority this winter, which will see additional rides and dinosaur-themed experiences to enhance the UK’s best-loved dinosaur-themed visitor attraction.
