PINBALL: Stern launches new Heads-Up competition

Stern Pinball is teaming up with the International Flipper Pinball Association (IFPA) to host the inaugural Heads-Up Pinball Championship at the annual Big Buck World Championship and Ladies Tourney at the Hard Rock Las Vegas on October 27th and 28th.

The winner will take home a new Aerosmith Pro Pinball Machine, a trophy, plus the title of IFPA Heads-Up Pinball Champion.

The Big Buck championship is now in its 10th year as one of the largest arcade eSports events in the world. Players start by playing their local online Big Buck HD machines frequently from May – September to qualify for their shot at the $100,000 prize pool.

The Heads-Up Pinball Championship will consist of unique head-to-head challenges where competitors will be playing simultaneously on two different machines of the same title. The player who completes the challenge first will be declared the winner for that game.

“We love the unique, fun challenge of this intense tournament,” said Gary Stern, chairman and CEO of Stern Pinball. “Pairing this IFPA event with the Big Buck World Championship makes for an incredibly fun weekend at the Hard Rock. We’re excited to see who takes home the gold and the Aerosmith Pro pinball machine!”

The Heads-Up Pinball Championship is open to the public for participation. Registration for interested players is open now. Register by September 30th for the discounted price of $30. After September 30th the registration fee increases to $50.
