Pier’s thank you to public service personnel

A top tourist attraction will be saying thank you in its own special way to people from the emergency services and armed forces this weekend.

The Grand Pier in Weston-super-Mare is inviting representatives from all the emergency services and armed forces – past and present – to visit this weekend and receive free unlimited ride wristbands.

The offer is applicable for Saturday and Sunday, November 23 and 24, but the wristbands must be reserved in advance.

The offer applies to those who work for – or have worked for – the fire and rescue, police, ambulance and air ambulance services, the RNLI, NHS employees, the British Army, Royal Navy, Royal Marines, Royal Air Force, cadets and veterans.

Each applicable person is able to receive up to four free unlimited ride wristbands for Saturday or Sunday.

Once reserved on line in advance, the wristbands can be claimed in person upon presentation of their e-ticket and valid ID card (DDS, BLC or NHS).

Lucy Graham, Group Marketing Manager at the Grand Pier, said: “The emergency services and armed forces play a vital role in protecting us and our country.

“In recognition of their continuous dedication and commitment, were are inviting them to a weekend at the Grand Pier dedicated to them, as a small way of saying thank you.”
