PARKS: Hydro Adventures boosted by new family attractions

Hydro Adventures in Missouri has hailed the addition of its new family and indoor attractions as the key to its successful 2017 season.

Additions and upgrades to the park included a Lasertron laser tag arena, which supports multiple game formats for both individual and team play, and includes all new equipment with LED illuminated obstacles and bunkers; and several brand-new arcade games in the Mega arcade, now totaling over 45 games with the opportunity to win prizes and rewards.

The Park also incorporated family and community events such as: Friday Family nights; Burger cook off, with this year’s winner Penmac Staffing, located in Poplar Bluff; Hotdog eating contest; Christmas in July, which collected food items for donation; and The Guns & Hoses Laser Tag contest, which benefited local charity Shop with a Hero, and had participants from the local Police and Fire Departments.

“2017 was a banner year for Hydro Adventures as we successfully continued to fulfill our mission of providing the highest quality fun and entertainment to families across Southeast Missouri,” said Barrett Byers, general manager of Hydro Adventures. “We are pleased and humbled by the community’s response to our upgraded and expanded facilities, as evidenced by our strong attendance. Above all else, we value and pride ourselves on best-in-class safety, cleanliness, creativity, and satisfaction and are committed to ensuring there is ‘something for everyone’ at Hydro Adventures.”

The Park’s indoor attractions will remain open including, the Mega arcade, and laser tag games on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. Additionally, the Park’s indoor attractions will be available for rent year-round to any and all private parties and birthday celebrations by appointment.

Edgar Novoa, operations manager, added: “Hydro Adventures continues to grow as the amusement park and family entertainment destination in the area. As the wet season comes to a close, Hydro Adventures is thrilled to announce an extended schedule for its indoor attractions for the first time.

Through investments made by United Parks over the course of their ownership, Hydro Adventures has continued to transform the wet and dry amusement parks into one renowned amusement centre, through its “two parks in one” initiative. United Parks also operates Daytona Lagoon in Daytona Beach, and is poised to become the next operator of historic Rye Playland in New York.
