ParadropVR to open at Alshaya International’s Tekzone in Saudi Arabia

Frontgrid, creator of immersive adventure attraction ParadropVR, has announced that the attraction will soon be entertaining thrill-seekers in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. ParadropVR will be included as an anchor attraction when state-of-the-art new entertainment centre Tekzone opens at Red Sea Mall, Jeddah this spring.

The ParadropVR at Tekzone Jeddah will be Frontgrid’s second installation in the MENA region and follows a successful first year of operation at VR Park, Dubai Mall. According to Frontgrid, ParadropVR has consistently ranked as one of the top-performing attractions at Emaar Entertainment’s flagship immersive entertainment location since launching there in March 2019.

A further two ParadropVR locations in the MENA region have already been confirmed for 2020, with installations in UAE and Qatar set to open later this year. Globally, recent ParadropVR installations have seen five units launch at Landmark Group’s Tridom FEC at Hyderabad, India (September 2019) and a further four at RW Genting’s Skytropolis Indoor Theme Park, Kuala Lumpur last month.

Matt Wells, CEO and co-founder of Frontgrid said: “Frontgrid is delighted to be bringing ParadropVR to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia at Tekzone at the Red Sea mall in Jeddah. When it comes to options for leisure and entertainment, consumers in KSA are spoiled for choice. Operators need to constantly raise the bar in terms of the quality and range of experiences they offer, as well as the techniques they use to attract and retain guests. ParadropVR delivers the type of exciting, innovative immersive experience consumers demand, backed-up with service, support and results.”

Steven Putzeys, leisure and entertainment operations manager for Alshaya, said: Our goal with TEKZONE is to bring together the world’s most exciting indoor attractions, games and immersive experiences to create an innovative, state-of-the-art entertainment space. As such, ParadropVR™ is a great fit. We’re looking forward to seeing the reaction when TEKZONE Jeddah starts welcoming guests.”
