New Vortex comes to Sea World Australia
Sea World’s newest attraction, the Vortex has opened for the summer holidays and will have guests twisting, turning and spinning like never before.
The multi-million-dollar ride will take guests on a thrilling adventure as they reach speeds of 30km/h and experience up to 5 G-Forces on the 18-metre-high pendulum swinging attraction.
The Vortex is the first attraction to open in The New Atlantis precinct at Sea World, which will feature three new, world-class rides including the Vortex, the Leviathan, a wooden coaster opening and the Trident, 42metre high swinging attraction, both opening in mid-2021.
Village Roadshow Theme Parks CEO, Clark Kirby said this is a wonderful time in the company’s history and demonstrates an ongoing commitment to the tourism industry on the Gold Coast.
“We are incredibly excited to officially open the Vortex ride at Sea World, and we can’t wait to welcome our guests to experience this thrilling attraction,” he said.
“While on the ride, guests will tumble and whirl through the air as they experience pendulum movements and circular rotations all while taking in the spectacular views of the park.
“The New Atlantis is going to be a game-changer for Sea World and will become a destination where our guests can experience the myths, mysteries, quests and challenges located within the new multi-million-dollar utopian precinct.
“Construction on the Leviathan and Trident attractions are also underway, and we look forward to opening these in mid-2021 to complete The New Atlantis precinct.
“At Village Roadshow Theme Parks, we are committed to providing world-class attractions and the opening of rides such as these are a drawcard for the Gold Coast as a tourism destination.”
