New rocket climbing wall takes off in Rockcity Hull

Rock-it, a new offering at Hull’s Rockcity all-weather activity centre, has opened in time for the summer holidays. Guests can now scramble up the 11m Saturn V rocket, galactic scenes, and items of space debris.

With climbing being introduced to the Tokyo Olympics in 2020, Rockcity are hoping that youngsters (aged 7-17), and first time climbers will be inspired to take up the sport for themselves as their preferred way of keeping fit. Rock-it also aims to provide a climbing activity that bridges the gap between Clip and Climb styles and a grown-up climbing centre.

All Rock-it sessions are fully supervised by an in-house rock technician.

“Another big step for Rockcity, a giant leap for Young Climbers.”

Taking you on a mission to climb where no man has gone before, ‘to infinity and beyond’.
