NEI collaborates with Australian attraction Fairy Park

Newman Entertainment International (NEi) has been engaged by Victorian attraction, Fairy Park, to deliver upgrades to its audio and show control system.

The team was tasked to complete two phases of upgrades over the past 12 months which included high-definition audio production (from script development to recording), plus installation of show control systems and speakers, working with the parks existing analogue systems. Newman Entertainment has also installed a superb world class ambient sound system across the grounds which has added another magical dimension to the overall experience.

Family attraction Fairy Park, located an hour’s drive from Melbourne, has taken over 60 years to create. Set on a rocky granite outcrop, on the edge of an extinct volcano, the park features animated fairy-tale scenes housed in awe-inspiring castles, cottages and caves all set amongst beautifully manicured gardens.

At the park’s medieval Camelot playground, children can explore secret passages, climb turreted towers and let their imaginations run wild. For the displays, visitors witness Cinderella at the Grand Ball, see Jack in his beanstalk and hear the story of Goldilocks and the Three Bears, among many others.

Garry Mayer, director of the Anakie attraction, Fairy Park, said: “Many of these displays use an intricate timer system to operate in tandem with movement, sound and lighting in a variety of triggered applications such as push buttons and sensors. These analogue systems needed upgrading to digital systems and finding the right solution for such specific items has been a challenge.

“Many individual people and companies over the years have promised big outcomes but delivered very little. After a decade long search, Newman Entertainment have proved to be the right company for the job. On time and on budget they were very professional in achieving our briefs and ultimately, surpassing them. Every member of the team has been dedicated to finding a solution and all have been a pleasure to work with.”
