Katapult launches Helping Hands Project 2019

Leading international guest experience agency, Katapult, has announced the launch of its second Helping Hands Project – a Christmas charity initiative with a £10,000 prize.

The initiative is aimed at destination-based charities within the leisure, tourism and arts sectors and promises £10,000 of design & strategic time to create a wonderful guest experience for the lucky winner.

Following the success of 2018’s Helping Hands Project, with Sir Richard Arkwright’s Society at Cromford Mills (part of the Derwent Valley World Heritage Site) submissions are now being requested from charities for 2019.

Kelly Herrick, strategy & development director at Katapult, said: “One of our core values at Katapult is authenticity and we wanted to get back to the authentic meaning of Christmas, which for us is charity, goodwill and support. That’s why we started this project last year and why we are excited to be running it again. We know there are so many amazing museums, galleries, visitor centres and other charities out there who would really benefit from working with us – we can’t wait to see the submissions.”

Submissions are being invited from any registered charity with a physical guest destination. You can submit your application at subscribepage.com/helping-hands-from-katapult

Simon Wallwork from Cromford Mills has this to say about the Helping Hands Project 2018: “Katapult have come in and really supercharged our digital marketing efforts. Any agency can come up with a clever marketing concept, but what Katapult have done so well is follow it through with considered activity – activity that has helped achieve our goals of increasing awareness and footfall of Cromford Mills.”

The winner of the Helping Hands Scheme will be announced at the end of January, and all terms of entry can be found at:
