IAAPA postpones some Brass Rings Awards categories
While the IAAPA Expo 2020 is set to go ahead from 16-20 November at the Orange County Convention Centre in Orlando, the trade association for the amusement and attractions industry has made the decision to postpone a number of the 2020 IAAPA Brass Rings Awards to next year.
“We understand members like you have had to push or postpone capital investment projects, new ride openings, and marketing campaigns this year, and for this reason, the Excellence Awards for Games and Merchandise, Family Entertainment Centre (FEC), Human Resources, Marketing, Food and Beverage and Live Entertainment have all been postponed,” IAAPA explained in a statement. “The eligibility period to qualify for a 2021 Brass Ring Excellence Award has been extended to September 2019 – August 2021.”
Excellence from the trade show floor will still be highlighted as the Exhibitor Awards for Best New Product and Best Exhibit will still take place. Applications can be submitted from 1 June for IAAPA Brass Ring Best New Product Award and IAAPA Brass Ring Best Exhibit Award.
IAAPA expects more than 24,000 qualified amusement park and attractions buyers representing more than 100 countries to attend the 585,000-net-square-foot trade show.
