Hologate returns to peak of 90,000 players

The rebound for the family entertainment industry has begun. Hologate, a world leading immersive media company for location-based entertainment, has recently shared impressive data on its weekly player activity – is a strong indicator that people are ready to get out of their homes and back to entertainment venues.

This 90,000 player figure, which represents activity across hundreds of Hologate venues across 36 countries, closely matches the average player data that Hologate was recording back in January of 2020, just prior to the pandemic shut down. Notably, these numbers are based on the regions that have been allowed to open following the implementation of strict health and safety protocols.

“We were elated when we started seeing the player numbers starting to spike again” states Hologate’s CEO, Leif Petersen “We were always confident that guests would eventually return, but I suppose we weren’t expecting it to happen this soon and return to “pre-Covid” numbers as soon as centres were given the authorization to do so.”

One of Hologate’s distribution vendors, Creative Works recently reported their observations when visiting the Texas locations of two leading family entertainment centres, ‘Andretti Indoor Karting & Games’ and ‘Main Event’. They were amazed when they arrived to see the parking lots and the facilities completely full. They also had observed the both had very clean facilities and had made notable upgrades to their attractions throughout. Any worry from guests not wanting to put on a virtual reality headset due to cleanliness issues was non-existent. There were consistent lines for both the Hologate Arena and the Hologate Blitz throughout the entire visit.
