Hardy takes reins at TouchTunes

TouchTunes, the world’s largest in-venue interactive music and entertainment platform with 75,000 social venues globally, has named Nick Hardy as its new commercial director for Europe.

Based in the company’s London office, Hardy will assume responsibility for TouchTunes’ European sales efforts and will drive growth of the company’s network of smart digital jukeboxes and entertainment services across the region.  He will coordinate the sales activities of TouchTunes’ UK distributor Sound Leisure as well as the jukebox sales efforts of TouchTunes’ Soundnet subsidiary, reporting directly to Alan Newham, managing director of TouchTunes Europe.

Most recently Hardy spent two years as UK marketing director for TAP TV. Prior to this, he was with Games Warehouse for 10 years where he was also marketing director. He has also worked in marketing and sales leadership roles for various coin-op and entertainment publications and media companies.

“Nick’s deep roots and successful track record in UK coin-op are a perfect fit for TouchTunes,” said Alan Newham. “His experience working with the UK channel with both operators and retailers will help us continue to execute our strategy of market expansion and growth in the UK and Europe. Nick’s focus on product marketing matches our approach to product innovation and improved consumer experiences as key drivers of the rejuvenation of the UK jukebox market that Playdium can generate. I am delighted Nick is joining the TouchTunes team at this exciting moment in our international expansion.”

Hardy added: ”I am very excited to be joining the TouchTunes team. This is a truly iconic business, known as the industry’s innovation leader, delivering only the best products and services. This role represents a fantastic opportunity and I am looking forward to leveraging my experience to drive further growth here in the UK and across Europe.”
