Full steam ahead for IAAPA Expo Europe

IAAPA has released the following statement ahead of IAAPA Expo Europe 2021:

“Let’s start with the most important message: IAAPA, with strong support from our EMEA member committees and the Global Manufacturer and Supplier Committee is committed to host this year’s IAAPA Expo Europe, September 27-30 in Barcelona, Spain.

“We are aware of the situation in Spain regarding the pandemic but also continue to see positive change, as recent restrictions in Catalunya have helped decrease the number of new daily COVID-19 infections. More than 58% of the local population is fully vaccinated as of the 3rd of August.

“The IAAPA team is in constant exchange with the Fira Barcelona convention centre team, and they have communicated they do not expect any new restrictions that would affect meetings, events, or congresses. In fact, they had a very successful event in June; the Mobile World Congress had more than 30,000 participants. Members of the IAAPA team visited the venues in the past week and will continue to do as we get closer to our Expo.

“Spain is currently open and accessible. The IAAPA Expo Europe website lists a current overview of all exhibitor countries of origin and highlightscurrent travel advisories and requirements. As of today, there are no travel restrictions that prohibit individuals from entering Spain and the only quarantine requirements for those entering the country are for travellers from India, Argentina, Bolivia, Colombia and Namibia. With the ongoing vaccination campaign in Europe and the rest of the world, most countries do not have a quarantine rule for vaccinated travelers returning to their home country.

“IAAPA Expo Europe IS the premier event for the European Leisure industry and the entire IAAPA team have worked together with EMEA committees to create a great programme that will safely bring our industry together. IAAPA has never invested more in securing high-level speakers, marketing and public relations campaigns as well as developing important health and safety measures for an IAAPA event in Europe. We are fully behind this show.

“With the ongoing recovery of the industry in Europe and parks having a solid summer season, we think it is more important than ever before to bring together operators and suppliers to exchange, network, buy/ sell, and learn from each other.

“Many member operators have told us they look forward to the Expo and will be with us in Barcelona.

“Yes, the world is still dealing with the pandemic, but we are on the path to recovery and doing business while limiting risk for everyone involved.

“We communicate daily with members like you and we will continue to keep you informed, and answer your questions. We are currently developing a detailed FAQ section, which will follow in short notice. In the mean time, please contact our Sales Team with any questions or concerns. We are all here to help.

“We look forward to seeing you in Barcelona and to a brighter future for all of us.”
