EEGS celebrates 11th successful show

The Eastern European Gaming Summit (EEGS) – the leading gaming conference in the Eastern European region – brought together more than 40 distinguished panellists and speakers from the world’s biggest gaming manufacturers, operators and consulting companies, for two days of high-level content, focusing strongly on gaming business innovation.

The program of EEGS 2018 (20 – 21 November) included key topics from the world of gaming. Starting with important regulatory updates from the European jurisdictions: Poland, Romania, Bulgaria, Germany, Switzerland & Malta, going through the most talked about technology developments, digital marketing, future opportunities and other essential themes.

The yearly BTAMOGI press conference was also held during the show, where chairman Аngel Iribozov reviewed the year gone by. Afterwards, proven industry experts David Orrick – director of industry relations for Merkur Gaming, David Clifton – director, Clifton Davies Consultancy Limited, Simon Planzer – partner, Planzer Law and Dan Iliovici, vice president, ROMBET answered questions from the journalists.

A Risk and Solutions conference held on Day 1 of the show proved to be another show highlight, and Alex Kornilov from Betegy and Laura Crimmons from Silverthorn Agency acted as key speakers from the marketing track, discussing topics such as millennial market, DFS and social gaming.

After an jam-packed day, all participants and speakers were welcomed to the official EEGS Networking party held at the Metropolitan Hotel, who kindly supported the event along with sponsor GLI.

On the second day, key discussions included “Are regulators micro-managing gambling operators out of the market?”, presented by David Clifton, director, Clifton Davies Consultancy Limited. Alex Haberl, regulatory development manager (GLI Europe) gave an elaborate speech about the European Markets Development. Another vital topic from the gaming industry was featured in the program of Day 2 – Mergers and acquisitions. Speakers in the mentioned panel were James Scicluna – co-managing partner (WH Partners), Dr. Joerg Hofmann, senior partner (Melchers Law Firm), Nicholas Aquilina, attorney (Brandl & Talos Attorneys at Law) and Bartosz Andruszaniec, senior associate (WH Partners), who involved the audience in an intensive discussion.

EEGS 2018 ended on a high note, with positive feedback and a line of new requests for the upcoming 12th edition.
