Disney boss reveals Pixar Pier plans

Details revealed at D23 expo in Japan

Disney has revealed further details about its Pixar Pier project, which will open in June this year at its California Park.

Chairman Bob Chapek gave a presentation at the D23 Expo in Japan, where he revealed the opening date of 23rd June, in time for the summer season.

Pixar Pier will be divided into four neighbourhoods.

The first land will be inspired by The Incredibles, and will feature the Incredicoaster which will pay tribute to new film The Incredibles 2, which hits cinemas in June.

The second land will pay homage to Toy Story, centred around the Toy Story Mania! attraction.

Guests can then make their way into the third installment, this time being taken into the world of Inside Out, and the fourth neighbourhood will offer a celebration of a variety of Pixar Stories from A Bug’s Life to La Luna and WALL-E
