DC launches Selfie Photo Mask

Manufacturer of photobooths Digital Centre (DC) has launched an automatic custom mask kiosk, with the aim of both helping operators to improve health and safety standards and to help the industry get back to business and ready to reopen.

The new Selfie Photo Mask can feature a range of designs, such as the customer’s face, logos, seasonal designs or any photo from the customer’s phone.

The launch follows weeks of planning and discussion by the DC development team to work out how best DC’s technology could improve the social situation caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Although people are required to wear masks, DC’s aim is to develop masks that don’t hide their face or smiles while wearing them.

“Our motto is ‘keep smiling while wearing the mask,’” said DC spokesperson in a recent release. “Suddenly, patrons keep being recognised even with the mask. They can be the coolest person and stand out. They can even unlock their smartphones with the mask!” 

Customers take a photo at the kiosk and select design, size and quantity. It can be complimentary, used as a brand engagement exercise with masks featuring the operators logo, or payment can be made at the kiosk via cash or card.

Masks are washable and have an interior pocket to insert disposable PM2.5 filters. There are three different sizes available: small, medium and large.

DC recommends the Selfie Photo Mask for locations such as parks, cinemas, theatres, bowling alleys FECs and malls.

The 100,000 square foot DC factory has mass production capacity, and DC has stated its aim of  supplying the product worldwide from next September.
