Coral Island goes cashless with BANDAI NAMCO and EMBED

The biggest FEC in Blackpool, the iconic Coral Island, has chosen BANDAI NAMCO Amusement Europe Ltd. and EMBED as providers of their Cashless System for installation in 2022. The choice was made based on “the capabilities and support of the system, and the trading history between both companies after utilising the Stock Management System for a number of years,” said Coral Island MD Jeff MacNamara. He added: “The support offered by EMBED over the years has always been top tier, fortified by BNAE’s hands-on UK base, ensuring that issues are dealt with in real time by people with a knowledge of our business and set up.”

The site which offers a wide spectrum of family entertainment will install the award-winning Smart Touch RFID readers to over 200 machines in the first phase, while employing the e-ticket option throughout the amusement area. They will also install the recently launched Kiosk + Self-Service Kiosk Point of Sales.

MacNamara continued, “The benefits that the system offers customers is the main reason in deciding to install cashless within Coral Island. It provides the ability to buy machine credits via a card system when not carrying cash, and inversely is able to take cash at the machine and pay out in tickets. Customers are offered flexible promotions tailored to their play and machine preference and are able to electronically store ‘won’ tickets which can be redeemed at a later date. For us, it’s all about adding to the customer experience.”

Steve Short, GM of BNAE Management Solutions adds “We are very happy to be chosen by Jeff and the team to provide a Cashless System that will help to further grow an already thriving, high-profile and iconic site within the UK industry.”

Saeed Abdillahi, Sales Manager at Embed adds “Amongst our team, there is great excitement to rollout our roster of smartTOUCH arcade debit card readers and the full Embed cashless system to see how these will propel the FEC into the future.”

“Alongside BANDAI NAMCO, we believe that our partnership with Coral Island will be a game-changing collaboration to ensure a superior guest experience at the location.”
