Arizona Sunshine VR to be launched in Orlando by Nomadic

California-based developer of VR experiences, Nomadic, are joining forces with Rotterdam’s Vertigo Arcades to bring Arizona Sunshine to Orlando, Florida.

The first-person zombie blasting game has been ranked #1, and features an immersive experience, with particular attention paid to player interactions with objects in the virtual world, including trains, elevators, helicopters… and a zombie, if you’re willing to risk your fingers.

Arizona Sunshine will also incorporate physical props, set design, and environmental effects, boosting the VR game’s story-driven content. Nomadic and Vertigo Arcades plan to eliminate the inconvenience of setting up VR equipment at home, jump starting the games market as new technologies are developed.

The company will also build its VR Arcade Suite, a content launcher for free-roaming location-based VR titles. It also includes an applications programming interface for integrating a variety of key arcade features like tracking systems, peripherals, spectator and mixed reality functionality, and more in both location-based VR and core VR titles.

“Orlando is the mecca of location-based entertainment, where tens of millions gather annually for vacations and events. Nomadic is the most immersive VR experience today, allowing visitors to physically engage with magical worlds. The Nomadic experience will fit right at home in this city and set the stage for a larger scale expansion in 2019.”

Pointe Orlando will welcome the Nomadic experience in autumn 2018.
