$50,000 on the line at 2019 Topgolf Tour Championship

For the first-time ever, an Australian team will have the opportunity to head to Las Vegas and compete for $50,000 dollars in the 2019 Topgolf Tour Championship in August.

Topgolf Gold Coast is hosting the Australian regional qualifier on Thursday 18th July, and is looking for teams of two to participate in the Topgolf Tour Championship.

The champion Australian team will win a trip to Las Vegas and compete against players from across America and the United Kingdom in the Grand Final with a cash prize of $50,000 up for grabs, along with global bragging rights.

Topgolf Gold Coast spokesperson Karla Judge said it is exciting for an Australian team to be eligible for the Tournament and is looking forward to seeing the talent on display at the qualifying event.

“We’re proud to participate in this unique tournament for the first time, and we’re excited that a team from Australia will have the opportunity to compete for the $50,000 grand prize from Topgolf Las Vegas,” she said.

“Topgolf Tour is everyone’s tournament, and we’re expecting to see some incredible golfers and unexpected pairings show up for an unforgettable time at our qualifying event later this month.”

“While we may be one of the newest Topgolf venues around the world, we have seen some very talented people visit Topgolf Gold Coast and we think whoever wins our qualifier will give the Tournament a real shake.”

Regional tournaments will take place across 19 cities from June 24th through August 14th. Each tournament is open to 68 teams of two players (male, female or mixed-gender teams), with spots filled on a first-come, first-served basis.
