Entries and nominations for the Park World Excellence Awards are up like-for-like on last year, with a wide range of parks, projects, rides, attractions and people joining the line-up ahead of the 21 June closing date.
Launched in 2018 by Park World publisher, Datateam Business Media, the Park World Excellence Awards is open to operators, suppliers, manufacturers and entertainment specialists across Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA) with exciting stories to tell.
The process
And with the addition of two new categories: Family Entertainment Attraction of the Year and Family Entertainment Centre of the Year, the entire industry has the opportunity to get involved in what promises to be another stand-out awards ceremony.
Entries and nominations are made via the dedicated Park World Excellence Awards website using the same simple, online form. Subject to meeting the necessary entry criteria, they will then be put before an expert panel of judges to select five finalists – and ultimately a winner – in each category.
Event director Paul Ryder comments, “With a format that reflects the dynamism of this unique sector (combining the opportunity for you – the industry – to shine a spotlight on the very best and an expert judging panel to decide the winners), the Park World Excellence Awards truly define and celebrate excellence.”
Previous winners rate the experience highly. At last year’s event Efteling picked up two awards, ‘Large Theme Park of the Year’ and ‘Seasonal Event of the Year.’ Chief operating officer Coen Bertens said: “We are committed to developing the park to appeal to a wider demographic and to visitors from all over the world, and these two awards are a testament to the hard work and dedication of our team to achieve this vision.”
The Park World Excellence Awards has the backing of several high profile sponsors, including Alterface, Bertazzon, Digital Centre, Polin Waterparks, Semnox and wiegand.maelzer, with another huge name – currently under wraps – due to be announced next week.
