Vortex Gaming thank Bandai and Embed one year on

Genting Resort’s Resort World opened Vortex Gaming 12 months ago, bringing digital experiences and gameplay to Birmingham.

Resorts World worked closely with Bandai Namco Amusement Europe (BNAE) and Embed to install the Embed cashless system with smart touch readers into the state-of-the-art entertainment centre, and reports that the first year of cashless operation has been a great success.

Not only has the cashless system improved security, by reducing cashflow risk and manpower, it has also helped Vortex to concentrate on delivering exceptional customer service. The system provides an overview of player activity, allowing the management team to track preferences in gameplay and prizes, helping to inform investment in their retail and machine offer.

But most importantly of all – the players and staff have embraced the system – finding it reliable and easy to use.

“We are extremely pleased with the Embed redemption and cashless system – it streamlines operations in Vortex – allowing us to focus keenly on our customer service. Our staff do not have to spend time dealing with cash handling, and its associated problems such as machine downtime due to coin or note jams. Instead, we can use the data gathered by the system to provide our customers with more of what we know they enjoy – in terms of games and redemption prizes.”

– Ian Bennett, operations director of Resorts World Birmingham

“It has been a great project from the very beginning in a high-profile location and we have been proud to be part of it. The Vortex team as a whole have embraced and promoted the system extremely well since we introduced it to them through the pre-install training sessions right through to the present day. Through social media and in centre promotions, they engage with their customers daily which isn’t always possible in a traditional coin-op FEC. We would like to congratulate Vortex Gaming on its first anniversary and look forward to a continuing our great working relationship.”
