“My claw machine hell”

Somehow, an overly-keen Irish boy became trapped in a claw-grab prize machine at his local play centre after climbing inside to try and get his hands on a teddy.

Jamie Bracken-Murphy was disappointed not to win a toy as he played the claw game, and decided to climb inside in order to get his loot. Unfortunately, he then found himself trapped behind the glass, unable to get out.

His dad Damien Murphy said he took his eyes off his son for just a few moments.

Speaking to Independent.ie, Damien said: “We were in a play centre here in Nenagh and I took my eyes off him for about five seconds as he walked towards the claw machine. I then heard a muffled complaint and when I looked up, he was behind the glass of the machine. I tried to get him out, but it seemed like he did not have enough space to maneuver his way out, so I told him to be calm and wait while I got one of the staff to find the keys to the machine.”

An off-duty fireman helped free him from his prize grab hell. He kept the teddies.
