Hilton Head could see new outdoor go-kart track
Property owner Roger Freedman is leading a vision to bring an 800ft go-kart track to South Carolina’s Hilton Head island.
The island is already home to the Aerial Adventure Park, and the proposed track would include 20 karts in Freedman’s 16 acre property; the only go-kart racetrack on the island.
Freedman claims that once the town gives the project the all-clear, it would take only six weeks to build the track and accompanying garage – meaning it would be ready for families and tourists during the summer season.
The track would also feature electric go-karts, a more expensive investment, but one that Freedman says is worth it, as the karts are more eco-friendly and produce less noise.
