Gala Bingo joins the Senet Group

 

Gala Leisure, the UK’s largest operator of bingo clubs and the leading online bingo operator in the UK, and Gala Interactive are the latest companies to join the Senet Group.

The Senet Group is a self-regulatory body for the UK gambling industry and was established in September 2014. There were four main gambling companies involved in its inception, Coral, Ladbrokes, Paddy Power and William Hill.

Together with Gala Interactive, they bring the first bingo brand to the Senet, which now includes leading businesses from across the gambling industry, including: Paddy Power Betfair, William Hill, Coral, Ladbrokes, Scotbet.com, and Sky Betting & Gambling.

What does this mean?

The aim of the Senet is to give to set a standard in the industry. This means that gambling companies will comply with the Senet’s princibles and values.

Those in the Senet commit to

  • A voluntary TV advertising ban on sign-up offers (free bets and free money) before 9pm
  • Refrain from advertising gaming machines in betting shop windows
  • Dedicate 20% of shop window advertising to responsible gambling messages
