Fundraiser planned for Luna Park opening
Located on Coney Island, NY, Luna Park is planning to open its doors on March 24th – and the park has announced that admission will be free, save for a small charity donation.
90% of the donated money will go to The Mayor’s Fund to Advance NYC, a charity that supports public programming and public-private partnerships throughout New York’s five boroughs. The Mayor’s Fund directly supports Girl Scout Troop 6000 – a charity formed to serve girls in the New York City Shelter system.
For $5 visitors will receive a wristband allowing them to explore the park’s various attractions, from rollercoasters, places to eat, and amusements including Fried Frogs, Whac a Mole, and Whopper Waters. Players can win prizes and credits, and also visit the park’s arcade which itself houses a selection of boardwalk games such as skee-ball, HD video game titles, and motorcycle racing.
Luna Park opens to the public on Saturday March 24th at 11:00am.
