A new Playdium entertainment centre is due to open in Brampton, ON. The current Cineplex Odeon Orion Gate Cinemas in Brampton will be converted into a Playdium centre that spans 45,000 square-foot.
The reimagination comes as part of Playdium’s plans to open between 10 and 15 locations in mid-sized communities over the coming years, and the upcoming Brompton centre is touted to have a youth-oriented appeal with a focus on affordable entertainment for everyday play, casual dining, and celebrating special occasions.
The Playdium will feature new video and redemption games, VR attractions, bowling, laser tag, and ropes courses. One of the existing auditoriums from Cineplex Odeon Orion Gate Cinemas will be retained, and the centre will also contain private rooms for birthday parties and private functions capable of accommodating large groups.
Playdium is due to open in mid-2019 with renovations beginning in September.
